HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU NIFAS TENTANG KOLOSTRUM DENGAN PEMBERIAN KOLOSTRUM DI UPTD PUSKESMAS MANDE KECAMATAN MANDE KABUPATEN CIANJUR TAHUN 2024

Abstract

Background: Colostrum is the first breast milk produced from the mother's breast, in the form of a yellowish liquid, containing more protein, colostrum is produced from the first day to the third day of the baby's life. There are many benefits of providing colostrum, therefore it is necessary to provide colostrum to help increase immunity in babies, This study aims to determine the relationship between postpartum mothers' knowledge about colostrum and the administration of colostrum at the UPTD Mande Health Center, Mande District, Cianjur Regency in 2024. Method: This type of research uses quantitative research with an analytical survey research method. The research was conducted from May 2024 to June 2024. The population is postpartum mothers with a sample of 30 people. Sampling with total sampling technique. Data collection is primary using questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. Result: The results of this study In the category of knowledge of postpartum mothers, the majority of respondents had sufficient knowledge, as many as 16 people (53.3%). Out of 30 people, the majority of respondents did not provide colostrum, as many as 19 people (63.3%). It is expected that the health center can improve education about what colostrum is, its benefits, and advantages for babies and mothers, so that postpartum mothers can provide colostrum.
