PENGARUH EDUKASI PERTOLONGAN PERTAMA PADA KECELAKAAN (P3K) TERHADAP TINGKAT KESIAPAN MENOLONG KORBAN KECELAKAAN LALU LINTAS PADA KARANG TARUNA DI DESA MARGAHURIP KECAMATAN BANJARAN

Abstract

Title: The Effect Of Providing First Aid Education On Accidents (P3k) On The Level Of Readiness To Help Victims Of Traffic Accidents On Karang Taruna In Desa Margahurip Kecamatan Banjaran Background: Traffic accidents are the largest contributor to death rates in the world. Traffic accidents require immediate initial treatment because they can endanger human lives, cause disability and even death. First aid for traffic accidents is an effort to provide temporary assistance and care for accident victims before receiving assistance from health workers or paramedics. Karang Taruna can be one of the first responders in helping accident victims faster. Health education is needed as a strategy in providing information and education to be able to increase readiness in helping victims. This study aims to determine the Effect of First Aid Accident Education (P3K) on the level of readiness to help traffic accident victims in Karang Taruna in Margahurip Village, Banjaran District. Method: This type of research is a Pre-Experimental Design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design design. The sample in the study was 30 people using the total sampling technique. Result: The results of the study showed an increase in readiness before health education was carried out with an average value of 10.23 and after being given health education an average value of 15.43. The results of the Paired t-test obtained p value = 0.000 <0.05 indicating that there is a significant difference between readiness before and after being given health education. Conclusion: First Aid education in Karang Taruna can improve readiness to help accident victims. It is expected that first aid education in Karang Taruna can improve pre-hospital handling in lay people.
