PENGARUH KOMPRES DINGIN TERHADAP TINGKAT NYERI LASERASI PERINEUM PADA IBU POSTPARTUM DI PMB DELIMA WILAYAH PUSKESMAS CILILIN KABUPATEN BANDUNG BARAT TAHUN 2023

Abstract

Background: The problem of discomfort that is often experienced by postpartum mothers with perineal lacerations is pain. This pain occurs due to stretching of the perineum caused by discontinuity and tissue tears due to pressure on the perineal muscles due to the birth process. The incidence of perineal lacerations in women giving birth in the world in 2020 is 2.7 million cases. The incidence of perineal lacerations in Indonesia in 2017 reached 75% with an incidence rate spontaneous perineal lacerations in 29% and episiotomies in 28% . Objective: The aim of this study to determine whether or not there is an effect of cold compresses on the level of laceration pain perineum in postpartum mothers at the PMB Delima working area of the Cililin Public Health Center, Bandung Regency west in 2023. Methods: his study uses a designpre experimental with one groups pretest postest design with a population of all mothers who will give birth at PMB Delima in June-July 2023 namely as many as 30 respondents. Sampling technique using the method puposive sampling . Pain management can be done non-pharmacologically, namely by using cold compresses carried out for 20 minutes with a temperature of 150 C. The data used are primary data. Univariate analysis and bivariate analysis in this study used testsParied sample test . Results: The results of the study were conducted on 17 respondents who gave birth before receiving cold compress treatment with a mean pain level of 2.35 and an SD value of 0.702. Meanwhile, after getting the cold compress treatment it became 1.35 and the SD value was 0,493. The conclusion from this study is that there is an effect of giving cold compresses to the level of perineal laceration pain in PMB Delima, working area of Cililin Health Center with a valuep value=0,000<0,005.
