Background: Labor is a physiological process experienced by every pregnant woman. Prolonged labor
during the active phase can increase the risk of complications for both mother and baby. The Rebozo
technique is a non-pharmacological method aimed at accelerating labor by providing comfort and
facilitating optimal fetal positioning. Objective: This study analyzes the effect of the Rebozo technique on
the duration of the first stage of active labor in primigravida mothers at TPMB Kota Bandung. Methods:
This research employed a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of primigravida mothers
delivering at TPMB Kota Bandung in 2024. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test to determine
significant differences between the intervention and control groups. Results: The study found a significant
difference in the duration of active labor between the group that received the Rebozo technique and the
group that did not, with a p-value < 0.001. The average duration of labor in the intervention group was
shorter. Conclusion: The Rebozo technique is effective in shortening the first stage of active labor in
primigravida mothers. It can be considered a viable non-pharmacological method in midwifery practice to
improve labor care quality.
