Sexual deviant behavior such as LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) is a condition of sexual deviation that continues to increase every year. This behavior arises due to the individual's deviant sexual orientation. One of the causes of sexual deviant behavior is a psychologically traumatic event in the past or childhood. In addition, things that can cause someone to experience sexual deviant behavior are lack of communication between individuals in the family, divorce, violence, and lack of spiritual values in the family. The purpose of this scoping analysis is to determine the effect of traumatic experiences on changes in sexual orientation in individuals. The research method used is scoping review, the stage of collecting journals from several databases such as PubMed, EBSCO and SagePub. The analysis technique uses critical appraisal with the JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute) format. Results: from the 10 journals analyzed, it was stated that there was a relationship between traumatic experiences, sexual violence, child abuse, and parenting patterns that had a meaningful relationship to the growth and development of an individual in choosing and determining their sexual orientation. Because these factors greatly influence individuals in making decisions about their sexual orientation in adolescence and adulthood.
