FAKTOR FISIOLOGI, PSIKOLOGI DAN SOSIAL DENGAN TINGKAT DEPRESI LANSIA DI SEKOLAH LANSIA KOTA BANDUNG

Based on the results of the 2019 Riskesdas report, the prevalence of elderly aged 55-64 years who experienced depression was 15.9%, elderly aged 65-74 years was 23.2%, and elderly aged over 75 years was 33.7%. This study aims to determine the relationship between factors associated with the level of depression in the elderly at Sibulan Sukajadi Elderly School, Bandung City. This type of research uses a correlational quantitative method with a sample of 30 respondents taken by total sampling technique. The instrument used to measure physiological, psychological and social factors uses a questionnaire obtained from previous researchers while the instrument used in the level of elderly depression uses the GDS questionnaire and the analysis in this study uses Sperman Rank. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between factors that could be changed with the level of depression in the elderly at Sibulan School Sukajadi Bandung City physiological factors (p-value 0.023 <0.05), psychological factors (p-value 0.035 <0.05), social factors (p-value 0.005 <0.05). This shows the need for more attention to the elderly, it is hoped that the Sibulan Sukajadi Elderly School in Bandung City will carry out activities that prevent depression in the elderly such as routine depression screening and providing health education regarding the prevention of depression in the elderly to be able to carry out early prevention before severe depression occurs to the elderly and increase the variety of activities as a means of preventing elderly depression.
