HUBUNGAN BEBAN KERJA PRAWAT DENGAN KUALITAS PENDOKUMENTASIAN ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN METODE REKAM MEDIS ELEKTRONIK (RME) DI RUANGAN RAWAT INAP RUMAH SAKIT PARU DR H. A. ROTINSULU BANDUNG

Abstract

The workload of nurses often affects nurses carrying out nursing care, one of which is the documentation of nursing care. This documentation is very important and will have a negative impact on patients and nurses if the documentation is not of high quality. This study aims to determine the relationship between workload and the quality of nursing care documentation using the Electronic Medical Record (RME) method in the RSPR Inpatient room. The research design is a correlation study with a cross sectional research approach. The sample size was 57 nurses using total sampling technique. The instrument for workload uses a questionnaire from Nursalam (2017) which has been standardized and for the quality of nursing care documentation using the Department of Health Instrument A observation sheet (2005).   Data analysis was univariate and bivariate, using the spearman rank test to see the relationship between the two variables. The results of univariate analysis showed that nurses had a high workload (63.2%) and the quality of documentation was sufficient (57.9%). The results of bivariate research showed a p value of 0.042 (<0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.270. So it can be concluded that there is a fairly strong relationship between nurse workload and the quality of nursing care documentation in the Inpatient Room of Dr. H. A. Rotinsulu Lung Hospital Bandung. Suggestions that can be given in this study are to add nurses in the Mawar and Melati Rooms and improve the RME format for nurses.
