Abstract

Decision making is very important. Making decisions is sometimes easy but it is often more difficult. The ease or difficulty of making decisions depends on the number of alternative ways or available roads. The team leader is a nurse in charge who heads a group of nursing staff in carrying out nursing care in the ward and is responsible directly to the head of the room. The team leader must be able to make decisions about the priority of planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating nursing care. The implementation of the team's concept depends very much on the philosophy of the team leader, namely whether it is task oriented or on the client. The results of the preliminary study with interview techniques carried out to 8 Team Leaders at Pakuwon Sumedang Hospital found that 2 people in decision making using intuition (Subjective) and based on experience, 3 more people said that in decision making is always based on facts and authority he owned and 3 more people said that in making decisions always based on facts, authority and rational consideration. The purpose of this study is to identify the analysis of factors influencing clinical decision making of the team leader at Pakuwon Sumedang Hospital. This research methodology is a cross sectional study design, the entire population is sampled or using Total Sampling, which is as many as 44 Team Leaders working at Pakuwon Sumedang Hospital. Question list before use is done. Test the validity by using corrected items - total corelational. The results of the validity test found that all statement items were declared valid, the r value obtained was between 0.452 and 0.945. Reliability Test using Cronbach Alpha obtained reliability coefficient value of 0.969. Normality test using Shapiro Wilk obtained p value (Sig.) <0.05 means that the data is not normally distributed. The analysis used is bivariate analysis using Chi-square test and multivariate analysis using Friedman Test. In this study researchers found several research results, namely, First, the results of the Chi-Square test found that there was no relationship between decision making with gender, age, education, and length of work, second based on the results of multivariate analysis using Friedman Test, it was found that there were differences in perceptions regarding intuition, experience, authority, facts and rational because p value (0.029) <0.05. The authority factor gets the highest response that is significantly different from other factors. The characteristics of respondents that most influence the clinical decision making of team leaders are age. This means that the factors of authority and age are the factors that most influence decision making.
