PERCEPATAN PENCEGAHAN IMUNISASI BOOSTER SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN IMUN TUBUH TERHADAP COVID-19

Abstract

The achievement of the advanced dose of the Covid-19 vaccination program or the new booster vaccine reached 2.73% or 5,679,434 people out of 208,265,720 Indonesian population. Booster vaccinations are still dominated by medical and therapeutic workers. Giving the Covid-19 vaccine is very important, not only to protect society from Covid-19, but also to restore social conditions and the economies of countries affected by the pandemic. Complete vaccination plus a booster is expected to provide protection for up to 91% of deaths, or another worst risk due to Covid-19. Based on this, the purpose of doing community service activities is to help accelerating the increase in immunity for the people of Cimahi City by conducting booster.  

The method used is to recruit participants through dissemination of information to the community around the Unjani campus area. Target of the booster vaccination is for people aged 18 years and over with priority vulnerable population and have received complete primary Covid-19 vaccination, totaling 500 people. This activity was carried out at Fitkes Unjani on August 11 2022, that collaboration with Kesdam III Siliwangi and Cimahi city health office.

The results of the Community Service activities have netted 300 vaccine participants consisting of students and the general public around the city of Cimahi. This program has to increase the coverage of people who have booster vaccines.
